June 15th, 6 pm–8.30 pm
This event is on my actual birthday, and it is all about learning how to celebrate yourself.
So many of us struggle to know who we even are, so we are going to find out together.
If you’ve ever thought, “I don’t actually know how to talk about myself without listing my jobs and roles,” this night is for you.
What is the Get Celebrated Workshop?
“Get Celebrated” is a gentle, creative, neurodivergent‑friendly workshop where we spend an evening getting curious about who you are underneath all the labels.
The workshop centres around creating a You Board.
It’s a little like a vision board, except this isn’t hopes and dreams of holidays and piles of money; this is a board of everything you are, right now.
I guide you through questions that allow you to visually present who it is you are so that you can walk away with a finished collage of YOU.
Think of it as building a visual love letter to yourself that you can look at on the days you feel a bit lost or invisible.
What Happens at the Get Celebrated Workshop
This is not a formal, sit‑in‑rows workshop. It’s a very casual conversation and social gathering, interwoven with probing, playful questions that get you thinking about your identity in new ways.
You can expect things like:
- Questions such as “If you were a colour, what would you be?”
- Gentle prompts about what lights you up, what comforts you, and what feels most “you”
- Space to chat, laugh, and reflect with other neurodivergent adults who “get it”
- Guided time to create your own You Board, with support if you get stuck
By the end, you’ll have a completed collage that feels like you, epitomised – not your job title, not your productivity, just you.
Learn to Make Your You Board in Canva (Step‑by‑Step)
I will be explicitly teaching participants how to create their You Board on Canva.
- No technological skills required
- I’ll walk you through step‑by‑step
- You can go at your own pace and ask as many questions as you like
It is advisable to bring your laptop or tablet.
However, if tech is stressful for you, you’re still welcome – we can work with where you’re at.
Please just send me an email at [email protected] if you plan on not using any technology.
What to Bring to the Get Celebrated Workshop
To make things a little smoother on the night, it helps if you:
- Bring your laptop or tablet
- Have your favourite photos from your life saved in a folder
- These might be:
- Images of yourself
- Significant moments in your life
- Photos of things you just love (places, objects, aesthetics, animals, hobbies, etc.)
If you hate doing your homework (hi, same), you are absolutely welcome to do this during the class.
It just reduces executive function on the night – when you’re socialising and creating – if you already have some of your favourite pictures chosen. But there is zero shame either way.
We will then work together to create us epitomised, which you can:
- Use as your phone or laptop background
- Print and put on the back of your toilet door
- Stick on your wall, fridge, or inside a wardrobe
Anywhere you will see it often and be reminded of who you are.
Why Neurodivergent Adults Need Spaces to Be Celebrated
The idea is to celebrate all the best parts of who we are in a creative way that reminds us how incredible we are on those days we might be feeling a little lost.
So much of our identities are held together with the glue of our roles in society – mother, nurse, provider, farmer, partner, friend.
I want us to get down to our core – the things that spark joy within us, that light us up from the inside, that make us special.
This workshop is for you if:
– You struggle to answer “What do you like?” without going blank
– You feel more like a list of responsibilities than an actual person
– You want a gentle, non‑cringey way to celebrate yourself
– You love the idea of a creative night that doesn’t require being “good at art”
– You want to be in a room full of people who understand neurodivergent brains

Frequently Asked Questions
What is parking like?
Parking around the venue is limited, but all parking is free.
There are a few spaces behind the building, though some may be reserved at times, and there is also street parking available. Disability parking is located at the back of the building.
For the easiest park, we recommend the Westfield Shopping Centre car park opposite Carl’s Jr, as this is usually the simplest option for finding a spot.
Do you have companion card tickets?
Yes. You are more than welcome to bring someone along to support you.
Companion card tickets are available at checkout. All you need to do is show your card on the night.
Do I need a formal diagnosis to attend?
Not at all.
This space is open to anyone who identifies as neurodivergent, whether you have a formal diagnosis, are waiting for one, or are simply exploring.
Is this a therapy or support group?
No.
The Adulting Club is an educational workshop and community space. Victoria‑Rose is an educator and advocate, not a therapist. This is a practical, peer‑supported session, not a clinical service.
Will I have to speak in front of everyone?
No.
Participation is entirely at your own comfort level. You’re welcome to listen, contribute when you feel like it, or just be in the room.
What is the environment like?
The room is set to around 22 degrees and has windows out to the street.
The session is held in a quiet library room, with flexible seating and a small group size of max 15 people.
It’s designed to be low‑pressure, sensory‑friendly, and comfortable enough to actually settle into.
What if I need to leave early or step out?
Completely fine. No explanation needed.
You are free to step out, take a break, or leave early if you need to. Your nervous system gets to be in charge here, not the schedule.
